This trip to Dusun Eco Resort on Dec 26-28 2006 by some 45 of us, including some 32 children from Desa Amal Jireh (DAJ), formerly known as Rumah Faith, was a fitting finale to Eagle Link's calendar of events. DAJ is a residential home for 85+ orphans, underprivileged and abused children. Many thanks to Leong Kwok, who serves on the Management Committee at DAJ, and other helpers from Eagle Link being Eric Hew, Peter Pang & son - Luke, Cham Kim Fook and Chin Kee and son - Andrew, whilst current ESG was represented by their scouter in charge (Asst Crew Leader of ESG Rover Crew) Leonard Chooi and another Crew member Azroy, plus 5 other helpers from Leong Kwok’s work place. Looking at these kids was like seeing ourselves some 30 years back, when we had everything to learn and experience but we probably had much less basic needs compared to them. A wonderful carefree and fun filled time was had by all, including activities like swimming, abseiling, obstacle course, rafting and campfires.
DAJ, with more than a 100 children and a few old folks, have been building a new home near Broga at a total cost of RM 7.5 million and they need to raise some RM 1.5 million more to pay for the construction, so for those who wish to donate to this cause and their upkeep of approximately RM85,000 per month, please see the attached.
On behalf of Leong Kwok and DAJ, many thanks to an anonymous donor from among us who gave RM 5,000 to the home.

Thank you and YIS
